How HLH Proto Ltd Can Deliver Accurate and Customizable Sheet Metal Prototypes
Sheet metal prototyping is one of our specialties here at HLH Proto, and we are always excited to work on any project, no matter how simple or complex. Our team has extensive experience making custom enclosures, weldments, assemblies, housings, brackets, cabinets, and other prototypes out of high-quality sheet metal, and we can help you whether you require just one or 100,000 pieces. Rest assured that we have the technologies, equipment, and expertise to shape and manipulate materials into your required geometry to meet your design requirements.
If you’re new to our sheet metal services, we understand you must have questions on how we can accurately deliver accurate prototypes. Allow us to share our process and solutions in this blog.
What we offer
At HLH Proto, we use a wide range of techniques for sheet metal prototyping, from bending to punches, welding, and laser cutting. Here is a quick run-down of some of our processes:
- Laser cutting: The most precise way to cut metal sheets of dissimilar thicknesses simultaneously. With a low heat-affected zone, we can cut hole diameters through any material, no matter the thickness.
- Welding: Also known as metal forming, we use welding to join two metal sheets to create one piece.
- Staking: Staking allows us to link two components by providing an interference fit between them. This way, one of the workpieces has a hole, while the other has a boss to fit in it.
- Bending: One of the most common ways to form sheet metal during prototyping, particularly for shaping aluminum, stainless steel, or steel parts after cutting.
How sheet metal prototypes can benefit your project.
Our sheet metal services are great for prototyping one or a low volume of parts, including communications and medical products, enclosures, and housings. We offer the best material selection, custom finishes, and scalable solutions while ensuring rapid turnaround and scalability every time.
